LSS is often misunderstood as a tool that only professionals and companies can use to improve processes. However, Sigma has seen a lot of development over the last ten years, and this is due to recent education and implementations and how practitioners have proven that helping young people can bring them more advantages in the short and long run.
Lean Six Sigma’s strength is its versatility, which can be applied anywhere as long as qualified practitioners are involved. Its true value lies in how it boosts any person’s life and brings more chances in terms of personal growth, help with projects, and more. Don’t mistakenly think that the methodology is what makes it valuable. It is the person who has the knowledge.
High school students, regardless of their experience, can get jobs at any company as long as they are proficient in LSS.
The methodology allows students to acquire skills that they may have lost in high school or are unable to attain due to their poor education and how the system works, and even when it is time to jump to their work life, they are put into test when it comes to learning and acquiring more abilities.
High School Students Can Get Trained
Our company only offers the yellow and green LSS Belts for all high school students interested. These are the only levels students have access to in the LSS methodology for two reasons—but not limited to them—:
- The yellow belt is more focused on personal skills. This belt is for students who want to increase their self-confidence, manage their problems, and improve their leadership skills, and it is also required for those aiming for a green belt.
- The green belt is team-based. They learn to work together, problem solve and demonstrate leadership skills, but for higher levels, they will need experience and work with LSS teams for at least two years, which doesn’t enable them to go for more than this green and the previous belt.
LSS concepts can be learned in training. If you’ve never taken the yellow belt before, we want you to be prepared. To be able to choose the green belt, you must have mastered the first. It will be hard if you don’t know the basics of LSS. The yellow belt provides all the necessary information.
Students should be able to understand the LSS system and the workings of an LSS group after completing the training. They will be able to use the information they have learned and all the hours spent studying it.
Just like regular courses, the belt will determine the topics and skills that are covered.
- Yellow Belt Outline.
This course will cover all aspects of data collection, terminology, and methodology.
- Green Belt Outline.
Lean 6 Sigma will become more accessible for them, and they will be able to use the methodology on a large scale. To help them reach their goals, we want to encourage teamwork as well as leadership.
This training includes key topics like DMAIC, SIPOC, Risk mitigation, Regression Analysis, and Problem-solving.
How it Works with Our Team
After completing their training, students can opt to obtain their certifications. These are the steps.
- Ask for our training in one of the belts (remember that a yellow belt must be obtained before you can get the green one).
- It is crucial to complete it.
- Ask us to take the exam which you must pass.
